What is neighbourhood planning?

Because we know the needs of all the communities we work in are different, PCHA takes a 'neighbourhood' approach to housing. Each neighbourhood has a dedicated:

Neighbourhood Housing Officer - responsible for management of the area.

Rent Recovery Officer - responsible for all aspects of tenants' rent accounts.

Voids and Lettings Officer - responsible for ensuring that empty properties are brought back into use as soon as possible.

To guide and support the work going on in our neighbourhoods PCHA is aiming to produce neighbourhood plans for all of the communities in which we work. Each neighbourhood plan will identify the issues unique to a particular community, explore what money and resources are available and encourage local people to get involved in improving their community.

We will bring together other agencies working in that community to make sure everyone works together to achieve the same goals.
