The
Special Minor Improvement Budget (SMIB) consists of a panel of
residents who actually decide housing priorities and where money is
spent.
Each year, property managers - in consultation with residents -
identify areas that could be improved within PCHA housing. A report
is then put together and this forms the basis of a bid for funds,
to the residents, on the SMIB Panel. The amount of money allocated
can vary from year to year, but is usually in the region of
£100,000.
